May 4, 2016 | This week’s workshop was the last one for the 2015-16 academic school year. We provided students with the opportunity to identify skills that they currently have and skills that they will need in the future to accomplish their goals.
Incorporating a zombie survival activity,
the two groups had to come up with a plan to “Fight for Survival – Live or Be Eaten.” One group was given tools to help them survive while the other group had no tools to help them with their plan. Students learned the value of taking advantage of the “tools” in their lives. And to utilize these “tools” throughout their academic and career journey. Students identified the tools that they currently have and the tools that they will need in the future.
After the workshop, we celebrated the end of the year with a recap video, refreshments, and congratulated the class of 2016 for completing the program and graduating from high school! Thanks for a great year, everyone!
